Tetradecene (1-Tetradecene, Alpha Olefin C14)

1-Tetradecene is a clear, water-white mobile liquid. Like all the INEOS Oligomers alpha olefins, it is produced using a modified Ziegler ethylene chain growth technology. The product is 99+ percent olefinic.

1-Tetradecene enters into all reactions typical of alpha olefins. It can be used in the production of amines and amine oxides, mercaptans, oxo alcohols, alkylated aromatics, alpha olefin sulfonates, synthetic lubricants, epoxides, tanning oils and synthetic fatty acids.
