Octene (1-Octene, Alpha Olefin C8)

1-Octene is a clear, water-white mobile liquid. Like all the INEOS Oligomers alpha olefins it is produced using a modified Ziegler ethylene chain growth technology. The product is 99+% olefinic.

1-Octene enters into all reactions typical of alpha olefins. It can be used as a comonomer in polyolefins and as an intermediate in the production of oxo alcohols, octyl mercaptans, amines, organic aluminum compounds, synthetic fatty acids and hydrogenated oligomers.
